ASIADOC 2021 - Creative Documentary Storytelling Workshop

Asiadoc is an intensive creative documentary storytelling workshop organized by Docmonde-France and Forum Film Dokumenter for Southeast Asian and Taiwanese documentary filmmakers to develop their film project. Held for the duration of 2 weeks, the workshop brings veteran of the documentary film field as mentors.
For ASIADOC 2021, we are hoping, and looking for a possibility, for it to be held offline, since face-to-face discussion offers more clarity if compared to virtual one. Of course, we are trying to be as adaptive as possible during this pandemic climate, placing health as the main factor for decision making. Therefore, the final arrangement whether it’s offline or online workshop would be announced in July 2021. Selected participants please take note of this matter. We are striving to create the best possible environment for the workshop.
Asiadoc 2021 is open for applicants from South-East Asia countries and Taiwan.

- 4 – 16 October 2021 : 1st session ASIADOC
- 18 – 23 October 2021 : Assignment
- 25 – 30 October 2021 : 2nd session ASIADOC
- 30 October 2021 : Final Presentation

- 18 – 30 October 2021 : a lodging in Yogyakarta, Indonesia
Terms & Conditions
- Selected participants must join all the workshop schedules.
- We only provide accomodation
- for 1 participant per project during the workshop (If offline version).
- Selected participants cover transport expenditure from home to the hotel and return. (If offline version).
- Please bring your laptop and your footages for further mentoring (If offline version).
- Final arrangement, online or offline, would be announced in August 2021.
- Asiadoc workshop will be conducted in English, and we do not provide translators.
