In a challenging period for arts and culture, Galleries' Nights is breaking through the darkness to bring our local art scene back to the spotlight.
In 2020 and 2021, art was confined to a screen. Galleries struggled to stay in business as they had to keep their doors closed. In lockdown, we witnessed our vivid Thai street art culture withering, and our contemporary art scene staggering as artists stayed in the dark. Art was put in pause… and will stay that way no longer.
In November and December 2021, Galleries’ Nights will once again break through the night, for four days dedicated to contemporary and visual art. Our objective: bringing the people back to the galleries, under the theme "Art Is The Solution".
For this immersive experience, hop on and off our dedicated tuk-tuks in the cities of Bangkok and Bangsaen. Throughout 130 art projects, re-discover what art means to you! Choose your own path, your own way to and through art. Discover how Art is your Solution. Make it yours.
Discover all art projects and routes on galleriesnights.com and follow the event on Facebook for all the latest info!
On Nov. 26 and 27, join us to discover over 70 galeries in Bangkok, with art projects mixing performances, installations, painting, sculpture, photography, video, new media, and much more. And on December 3-4, discover our very first sister event, Galleries' Nights Bangsaen!
ABOUT GALLERIES' NIGHTS
The inspiration behind Galleries' Nights comes from “Nuit Blanche Paris” (Sleepless Night), an event dedicated to visual and contemporary art that has now achieved worldwide renown. Galleries’ Nights turns the City of Angels into a festive and friendly open-museum every year since 2013.
