World Music Day is coming back!
World Music Day « La Fête de la Musique » in french is coming back to Bangkok for its second edition ! On June 20th and 21st, music will be celebrated for free and, for the first time in online !
Created for the first time in France in 1982, the World Music Day is a worldwide music celebration which takes place each year in June. The French Government develop an important project for the music industry and create a big and popular event that allows all musicians to express themselves for free. This event aims to promote amateur and professional artists to make them accessible to the public easily. It is conceived as a « revolution » for the cultural field, which tends to gather all kinds without hierarchy.
Due to COVID-19 situation, the cultural service of the French Embassy in Thailand has created a free online event, in the spirit of the original project : promoting music from everywhere and for all.
During two days, La Fête and Alliance Française will respond to the beat of electro music, rock, pop, french and thai music, DJ sets and live bands. Both online events will be streamed on Facebook page La Fête & Premiere.
Screening Film at Alliance Française!
On Saturday, June 20th, the movie « French Waves » will be shown at Alliance Française, following by hours of set with United We Stream Asia, live from Studio Lam Bangkok.
Thai & French Artists
On Sunday, June 21st, La Fête will stream live music (thai and french) played from the Sofitel SO Bangkok at 3.00 pm onward!
